Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many apprenticeship starts there were in the construction sector in the (a) 2021-22 and (b) 2022-23 academic year.
The most recent statistics on apprenticeship starts by employer sector cover the 2020/21 academic year and are published here: https://explore-education-statistics.service.gov.uk/find-statistics/apprenticeships-in-england-by-industry-characteristics.
Data for 2021/22 and 2022/23 will be published in June 2024 and June 2025, respectively.
Apprenticeship starts within the ‘Construction, Planning and the Built Environment’ sector subject area are available for the 2021/22 academic year and can be found at: https://explore-education-statistics.service.gov.uk/find-statistics/apprenticeships-and-traineeships/2021-22#content-7-heading.
