Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many prisons currently designated as resettlement prisons are operated by the private sector.

The aim of a Resettlement Prison is to build and improve family and community ties, and prepare men for release.
There are currently 14 privately operated prisons (12 male and 2 female) of which 11 are designated as resettlement prisons.
