Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether work on the site of HMS Victory 1744 is fully compliant with the UNESCO Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage.

The Deed of Gift makes clear that any actions taken at the site of the wreck of HMS VICTORY 1744 should be consistent with the archaeological principles set out in Annex A to the UNESCO Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage.
