Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what happens to any sum of money not spent in equal parts within 21 months of receipt of each instalment as set out in paragraph (3) of the Government settlement agreement with Eurotunnel.

If Eurotunnel do not commit to spend an instalment payment within the agreed timeframe then they will be in breach of the conditions in the Settlement Agreement. The Government would then be able to take appropriate action, including action through the Courts.
