Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, if she will make an assessment of the potential merits of using alternative voting systems to first past the post for new local authorities.

The Government has no plans to change the voting system for local council elections.
