Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether all Challenger 2 MBTs would be available for operational use if required.

Of the British Army’s operational fleet of 227 Challenger 2 tanks, an appropriate proportion are held in storage at readiness. I am withholding further information as its disclosure would, or would be likely to prejudice the capability, effectiveness or security of the Armed Forces.
