Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many babies have been born at a low birth weight in each year since 2010.

The number of babies born with low birthweight, less than 2,500g, in England in each year from 2010-16 are shown in the following table. Data for 2017 and 2018 are not available.
