Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, whether his Department has conducted staff surveys of (a) National Probation Service and (b) Community Rehabilitation Company staff on the proposed changes of joining up case management.

Probation staff have been widely engaged throughout the development of the future model for probation. Five staff events were held across England and Wales as part of the public consultation Strengthening Probation, Building Confidence, with at least 250 staff attending from both the National Probation Service and Community Rehabilitation Companies. We listened closely to feedback from these events as well as written submissions in developing our plans for the future of probation, and as our plans move forward we are continuing to engage with staff from all probation providers.
