Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what assessment his Department has made of the potential merits of annually uprating Local Housing Allowance to the 30th percentile of local market rents.

The Secretary of State reviews Local Housing Allowance rates annually, normally at an Autumn fiscal event. In doing so he will consider factors including rent costs and the current level of welfare support provided overall, alongside Government priorities and the challenging fiscal context.
