Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority: Finance

Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority’s budget will be increased for the coming year to reflect its wider remit as expanded by the Immigration Act 2016.

Funding for the GLAA was increased in 2016/17 and 2017/18 to reflect its wider remit and has been maintained at that level into 2019/20. Funding for future years will be decided as part of the spending review.

It is for the GLAA to determine how best to allocate its resources in the light of the intelligence available to it.
