Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what the cost to the public purse was of the Nimrod MRA4 programme prior to its cancellation.
This question was answered on 8th July 2021
The cancellation of the Nimrod MRA4 programme was announced in the Strategic Defence and Security Review, published in October 2010. Its total cost as at 31 December 2010 was approximately £3.9 billion.
