Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, pursuant to the Answer of 21 June 2019 to Question 263817 on Courts and Probation: ICT, if he will publish the cost to the public purse of the IT systems failures in probation services and the courts in January 2019 once those discussions with suppliers have concluded.

The MoJ is unable to confirm the position on the release of information related to the cost to the public purse, as it pertains to the IT outage experienced in January 2019, until negotiations have concluded. Therefore it is not possible to provide any information pertaining to the quantification of costs, at this time.
