Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether he plans to remove any further army battalions once the 2nd Battalion Mercian Regiment has been amalgamated with the 1st Battalion Mercian Regiment.
This question was answered on 13th July 2021
There are no plans to remove any further regular Army battalions beyond the the amalgamation of the 1st and 2nd battalions of the Mercians as already announced.
