Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what his planned timetable is for (a) completing the hiring process for members of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs and (b) announcing newly appointed members.

The process to recruit members of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) is made in accordance with the Governance Code on Public Appointments.

Based on current timescales, we expect the process will be concluded in the New Year, and subsequently the names of the new ACMD members will be announced on Gov.UK.
