Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what steps he is taking to protect the UK consulate in Jerusalem from unlawful obstruction by Israel.

The Israeli authority decision to close the British Consulate-General in Jerusalem is deeply regrettable. The focus now is on ensuring we can continue our diplomatic work and supporting efforts towards a two-state solution. The UK stands by the announcements made by the Foreign Secretary on 8 September.
