The majority of patients with inflammatory skin conditions are managed in primary and community care and the local National Health Service is best placed to make decisions that ensure services meet the needs of resident populations in the most appropriate way. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has published evidence-based best practice guidance for clinicians and commissioners on a range of inflammatory skin conditions, including eczema and psoriasis. The guidance sets out a range of treatment approaches to the management of inflammatory skin conditions including drug-based approaches, as recommended by NICE.
