Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what assessment she has made of the progress of the Troops to Teachers scheme.

The Department for Education continuously assesses the progress of the Troops to Teachers scheme. To date, one cohort has completed their training with a further two cohorts currently in training. In total, 144 teachers have been recruited through the scheme. Recruitment is underway for a further cohort which will begin in September 2016.
