Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what his Department's timescales are for the completion of the local security strategy for HMP Bedford.
This question was answered on 27th November 2023
The Local Security Strategy (LSS) for HMP Bedford is in the process of being reviewed and updated. Officials have been aware of this from the outset. A partially updated version was available for viewing during the recent inspection by HM Inspectorate of Prisons. The final updated version will be made available to staff in February 2024.
We will respond to any comments from HM Inspectorate about the LSS when we receive the inspection report.
