Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what plans his Department has to publish a White Paper on social care.

Putting social care on a sustainable footing, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, is one of the biggest challenges we face as a society. As the Prime Minister has said, the Government will bring forward a plan for social care this year.

We have begun the first phase of commencing cross-party talks, by inviting hon. Members and Peers to voice their views, proposed solutions and concerns about reforming the way that people pay for their care.
