Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the Answer of 8 September 2026 to Question 20862 on Armed Forces: Clubs, for what reason Ministers were not asked to approve the private members’ club review directed by the Deputy Chief of General Staff, including the potential impact of the review on civilian organisations.
Ministers were not asked to approve the review because it was not a centrally coordinated Army policy review. Reviews were undertaken by individual Corps and Regimental Associations. Information on any changes made to affiliations is therefore not held centrally, and there is no centrally produced final outcome or report to publish.
