Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment his Department has made of the potential merits of using taxis as an additional emergency service for isolated households and families.

The Department is aware of and appreciates the role taxis and private hire vehicles have always played in assisting those that are unable to access public transport.
