Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Minister of State, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, what assessment he has made of the potential implications for his Department's policies of the International Commission of Jurists recent statement entitled, Gaza/Palestine: States have a Duty to Prevent Genocide, published 17 November 2023.

The UK has consistently called on Israel to respect International Humanitarian Law regarding its operations in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. The UK continues to engage closely with our bilateral and multilateral partners on this conflict and to urge de-escalation across the region.
