Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many passport applications were upgraded to the fast-track service in each month since January 2022.

Since April 2021, Her Majesty’s Passport Office has advised customers to allow up to ten weeks to get their passport when using the standard service from the UK. Customers will only choose to upgrade a standard application to the Fast Track or Premium services if they need a passport sooner than ten weeks.

Please see the table attached showing the number of upgrades to the Fast Track service from January 2022.
