Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what communication he has had with Ofgem, further to his letter dated 21 June 2017, on implementation of an energy price cap for households on standard variable tariffs.

The Chief Executive Officer of Ofgem wrote to my Rt Hon Friend the Secretary of State on the 3 July 2017 and the Chairman of the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority wrote to the Secretary of State on 6 July 2017.
