Energy and emissions projections from September 2014 give the latest published estimates of renewable electricity generation in 2020[1]. Annex J estimates a total of 112TWh from renewable sources, out of total electricity generation of 327TWh. This means that around 34% of electricity generation was anticipated to come from renewable sources in 2020.

We have not broken down generation by individual technologies, as this will vary according to the outcome of commercial auctions for Contracts for Difference (CfDs).
