Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many and what proportion of (a) male and (b) female offenders pleaded guilty to each category of offence in the latest year for which figures are available.

The number and percentage of offenders who pleaded guilty at all Crown Court centres, by offence group and sex, in England and Wales in 2014, can be viewed in the attached table.

Information on plea at magistrates’ courts is not held centrally and can only be obtained at disproportionate cost.
