Sites used by free schools are revalued when all construction work is complete. Costs of sites at the time of acquisition for individual free schools are published on gov.uk when a project's capital costs are no longer considered to be commercially sensitive i.e. when the construction contract has been signed. Data on 49 free schools has been published at this link: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/capital-funding-for-open-free-schools.

Around a third of permanent sites acquired by the Education Funding Agency for free schools were previously owned by a public body.
