Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many vessels transit by RNAD Coulport en route to Finnart Oil Terminal each year; and whether those vessels are boarded by Military Police during the transit.
This question was answered on 4th June 2015
Between 1 June 2014 and 31 May 2015 146 tankers transited to and from Finnart Oil Terminal.
We do not comment on specific security procedures as this would, or would be likely to prejudice the capability, effectiveness or security of the Armed Forces.
