Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what progress has been made since the Law Commission's consultation and proposals regarding logbook loans; and what steps the Government has taken to review the Bills of Sale Act 1878.

In September 2014, HM Treasury asked the Law Commission to consider the current law around Bills of Sale.

The Law Commission has undertaken a consultation, and has published analysis of the responses. The final report, including recommendations, will be published in due course.
