Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many academies judged inadequate had their funding agreement terminated and were closed in each year since 2010.

All inadequate academies are automatically subject to scrutiny and close monitoring by Regional Schools Commissioners (RSCs) to secure rapid improvements.
