Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what recent discussions he has had with Cabinet colleagues on the implementation of the Government’s Space Strategy.

The National Space Council met on 19 July 2023, co-chaired by the Secretaries of State for Science, Innovations and Technology and Defence. The Council is responsible for leading the coordination across government on space policy and ensuring that the UK is well-positioned to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the space sector to drive job creation and grow the economy. The Council will continue to meet to deliver these priorities under National Space Strategy.
