Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, with reference to the section 204(1) of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023, what his planned timetable is for publishing that guidance.

The Home Office is developing guidance on the new Failure to Prevent Fraud offence in collaboration with industry and key stakeholders to ensure it is a useful tool to help organisations understand how they can implement reasonable fraud prevention measures.

We will publish the guidance in 2024.
