Armed Forces: Ethnic Groups

Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what targets his Department has set for the recruitment of ethnic minorities into the armed forces.

The Armed Forces are working towards a target of 10% of recruits to come from Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds by 2020, as announced by the previous Prime Minister prior to the 2015 election.
