The Government has no plans to do so. All Government financial support schemes have eligibility criteria and to be eligible for the NHS Learning Support Fund, students must be eligible for tuition fees and maintenance support from the Student Loans Company.

The Government reviews the funding arrangements for all pre-registration National Health Service health professionals’ education to ensure that students are appropriately supported. This must ensure the appropriate use of financial resources to support students and deliver value for money.
