Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what recent representations his Department has received on extending the scope of value added tax.

HM Treasury has received representations welcoming the government’s commitment to bring forward legislation to ensure there are no rises in income tax rates, value added tax or National Insurance for the duration of the Parliament.
