This Government has clearly stated that we do not need to be part of the EU to have strong protections for workers' rights, and that we will not roll back EU rights in the workplace. The steps to be taken to safeguard the provision of various pieces of employment legislation, including the Working Time Directive, are still being decided, as part of a much wider legislative piece of work.
