Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how much his Department has spent on educating the children of service personnel based in Germany in each year since 2010; and how many pupils have been so educated.

The cost of educating the children of Service personnel based in Germany, by financial year, since 2010 is as follows:

2010-11 £47 million

2011-12 £53 million

2012-13 £51 million

2013-14 £44 million

2014-15 £42 million

Figures have been rounded to the nearest million.

The number of pupils educated in Germany since 2010, by academic year is, as follows:
