Thirteen buildings were awaiting audits of their fire risk appraisal of external walls (FRAEWs) between July 2024 and March 2025. A new contract is now operative, audits are being urgently processed and officials are engaging regularly with property managers, freeholders and leaseholders about all low-rise buildings requiring audits.

The department has not made an assessment of the potential impact on leaseholders.
