Question to the Ministry of Justice:
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what assessment her Department has made of the adequacy of the living conditions in young offender institutes.

We are considering the adequacy of young offender institutions as part of our plans to transform the prison estate. We are investing £1.3 billion to reform and modernise the prison estate to make it more efficient, safer and focused on supporting prisoner rehabilitation.
