Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to his Department's report, a Better Defence Estate, published in November 2016, which devolved administrations, on how many occasions, his Department has met to discuss plans for the defence estate.
"A Better Defence Estate" is a military-led review.
Ministry of Defence officials meet regularly with the Welsh and Scottish Governments to discuss plans for the defence estate. With reference to the plans set out in "A Better Defence Estate", the Ministry of Defence (MOD) has held two meetings with representatives from the Scottish Government. The MOD has written to the devolved administrations and will continue the process of detailed planning and necessary engagement for the implementation of this strategy.
