Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:
To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, whether his Department has made an assessment of the capacity of local authorities to provide citizens with all the data that those authorities hold on them.

My Department has not made an assessment of the capacity of local authorities to provide citizens with all the data that those authorities hold on them. This is a matter entirely for local authorities. They are separate data controllers under the Data Protection Act 1998.
