Question

To ask the Minister for Women and Equalities, if the Government will undertake a detailed analysis of (a) the pay gap between women of African, Caribbean, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds and women of other backgrounds and (b) what steps can be taken to reduce that pay gap.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has been undertaking research into the pay gap for black and minority ethnic employees, as part of a wider study of pay gaps. The EHRC expects to publish the results of this work early next year.
