Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what assessment she has made of the potential effect of the UK leaving the EU on the horticultural sector.

The Government is holding regular meetings with a range of stakeholders from the horticulture industry. We have a manifesto commitment to introduce a 25 year plan to grow and produce more, both to increase consumption of British produce in the domestic market and to export more. We will be working with the horticulture industry to design policies that help horticulture grow and succeed outside the EU.
