Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many sustainability and transformation plan leads have requested changes in their governance mechanisms.
This question was answered on 9th December 2016
Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs) are being developed by local organisations coming together to cooperate. Each footprint was asked to consider and manage its governance arrangements for agreeing and implementing its STP - this was set out in the STP Guidance Letter (February 2016). As local proposals develop and take shape, many areas have developed and iterated their governance structures.
