Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, on how many occasions in each month between 1 January 2015 and 30 November 2016 UK Visas and Immigration placed visas in the wrong passports; and what steps her Department is taking to ensure that no visas are placed in the wrong passports in future.

The Home Office does not hold the specific information in the format requested. To obtain it would involve interrogating local management records, at disproportionate cost.

Errors identified in the visa issuing process will be fully investigated and appropriate remedial action will be taken.
