Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what recent estimate she has made of the number of (a) private and (b) NHS midwives working in each clinical commissioning group area.
This information is not collected in the format requested. However, the following table shows the number of full-time equivalent (FTE) midwives employed in National Health Service hospital trusts and integrated care systems (ICSs) as at 30 June 2022.
