In 2021/22, we made £17 million available to clinical commissioning groups to address dementia waiting lists and increase the number of diagnoses. NHS England is currently reviewing the final assurance reporting on the use of this funding, which was disbursed to systems in June 2021. This aims to identify areas of good practice in dementia diagnosis and provision of pre and post diagnostic support to share with dementia clinical networks and stakeholders in 2023.
