Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, whether her Department plans to increase funding for schools from the public purse in order to expand breakfast clubs; and if she will make a statement.

It was announced in the March 2016 Budget that the government has committed to a £10 million a year programme to expand breakfast clubs in up to 1,600 schools from September 2017. Further details about the scheme will be announced in due course.
