The proposals for a new schools national funding formula, on which the Department is currently consulting, were formulated following careful consideration and discussions with a range of stakeholders across the country. As part of this, Ministers have met with representatives of the F40 group of local authorities on seven occasions since 2013.

The consultation on the Government’s detailed proposals is open until 22 March, and the Department is keen to hear as many views as possible. The consultation can be found at: https://consult.education.gov.uk/funding-policy-unit/schools-national-funding-formula2/
