Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether officials at his Department alerted officials in the US Department about the misfired Trident missile, during tests off the Eastern US coast in June 2016.

Vanguard ballistic missile submarine Demonstration and Shakedown Operations (DASO) are conducted in conjunction with the US Department of Defense. All 11 DASOs resulted in the submarine successfully being certified to return to the operational cycle.
